His life story
Ben Ali and Nahiya. Born on June 8, 1949 in the village of Magar in the Tiberias area. He completed his studies at the village's elementary school, but due to his family's difficult financial situation, he was forced to give up further studies. Out of responsibility and love for his family, he went to work at any job that came his way, in order to support himself and help finance his younger brother's studies.
In May 1967, he enlisted in the IDF with joy and willingness. During his service, he was known as a fighter full of energy and joy of life, loved by his friends and close to his neighbors and villagers. He was proactive, energetic, and volunteered for every mission, performed his duties with dedication and to the satisfaction of his commanders, and was known as a loyal eldest son and devoted brother. His parents hoped to see him establish a home and family, but their dream did not come true.
On September 5, 1969, during an operational patrol in the Arava, his vehicle hit a mine and he was killed in battle. He was twenty years old when he was killed. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in the village of Maghar.
His name was immortalized in the book "Blood Covenant", which documents the fate of the members of the Druze community who fell in the Israeli wars.
