Son of Hani and Rihanna. Born on December 14, 1956 in the village of Beit Gan in the Galilee, the fifth child of a Druze family of limited means. His parents valued the value of education and invested in their children's education as much as possible. In 1961, he began attending the village elementary school and graduated in 1970, and from there he continued to the agricultural high school in Ramah in the Galilee. He made good progress in his studies, but after completing the eleventh grade, he saw fit to help support his family, especially in light of one of his brothers' military service.

During his high school studies, Naif was an active member of the Gdansk Youth League and participated in sports, especially soccer, and played on the school team. His sociable nature and the broad smile that always adorned his face made him loved and respected by his peers, both in his village and among the students in the area. Naif was cheerful, affable, and loved to dance, especially as part of the dance group of the General Workers' Federation. His great love was recognized even after his death in songs of praise written in his memory.

Naif was drafted into regular service in the IDF in November 1974. In early 1975, he completed the first series of basic training and requested to join the company commander course, to which he returned after about two months. His service in the army was short but full of dedication and commitment.

On September 25, 1975, Naif fell while performing his duty, and was laid to rest in the cemetery in the village of Beit Gan. He left behind his parents, four brothers, and a sister. His commander wrote to the bereaved family: "The late Naif was one of the best of our fighting sons and always strove to contribute to the best of his ability."
