Adel Ibrahim(Private)
His life story
Son of Zahara and Tawfik. Born on January 31, 1966 in the village of Sajur in the Galilee, to a large and respected Druze family, which is an important part of the community in the village. He completed his elementary education at the state school in the village, and then completed his high school studies at the Rama High School. Adel stood out for his seriousness, diligence and perseverance, and was an example to his friends and those around him.
The high school principal noted about him: "During his studies, Adel participated in Shelah activities, was a disciplined student, excelled in his kindness and manners, and was gifted with personal initiative. He served as a mentor in the mentoring program and was a role model and example as an adult brother." Adel loved participating in social projects and helping others, and participated in Shelah trips to learn about the country. His dream was to study medicine and work as a dentist, but due to his family's financial situation, he decided to postpone his studies and support himself after his military service.
Adel was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1984 and assigned to the infantry. He began his basic training and combat training, and excelled in discipline, dedication, and professionalism.
On September 20, 1984, Adel fell while performing his duties. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in the village of Sajur. He left behind his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: "During his service, Adel was a good soldier, disciplined, reliable, well-liked and accepted by his comrades and commanders. But the loss was a heavy burden for the entire unit - we lost an exemplary brother and friend..."
