The late Amal Nasruddin Born in 1927 He was born in Dalit al-Karmel and was one of the prominent leaders of the Druze community in Israel. Nasr al-Din was a graduate of the Hebrew University in political science, served as a member of the Dalit al-Karmel Council and as its deputy head, and was involved in significant development initiatives in the community, including connecting it to electricity and water, establishing employment facilities for Druze women, and promoting cultural and educational activities. His local activities were intended to strengthen Druze society and integrate it into the social and economic space of the country.

He was also active in the educational and moral arena, and in 2008 He founded the first pre-military preparatory school in the Druze community – the “Kerem El” preparatory school. In 2015 He led its transformation into the "Achim" preparatory school, a joint preparatory school for members of the Druze community and young Jews, working to strengthen social partnership and prepare youth for meaningful service in the IDF and for civic leadership.
