His life story
Son of Mohsana and Hussein. Born on May 16, 1964 in Shfaram, to a Druze family blessed with children, who instilled in their sons moral values, honor, and trustworthiness. He began his studies at the third elementary school in Shfaram and continued at the Shfaram High School. During his studies, he helped his parents with the household and the family's livelihood, and therefore did not complete his high school studies. In his free time, he engaged in sports activities, played soccer, rode horses, loved to travel in nature, and cultivated a fondness for animals, including raising birds and ornamental fish. Ibrahim was endowed with a technical sense, repaired watches and electronic devices, and devoted his time to volunteer activities in the community.
In mid-May 1982, he enlisted in the IDF and volunteered for the infantry. After his basic training, he was assigned to the Minorities Unit as a squad commander and later served as an operations sergeant and platoon sergeant. During his service, he went through difficult periods, including Operation Peace for Galilee, operational engagements in Lebanon, the system line, the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria, as well as winter and summer training. His commanders noted in his personal file that "Ibrahim fulfills his role excellently - responsible, dedicated, disciplined, proactive and persistent." After his release from regular service, he served in reserve roles in his combat unit.
In his civilian life, he worked as a hired driver for a transportation company and in a variety of odd jobs. In 1988, he opened an independent business in Shfaram, but was forced to close it after four years. Ibrahim married Aida, and they had two children – Bassam and Wasim. He planned to build his own house and travel abroad, but he did not get to realize his plans.
On September 12, 1993, while on reserve duty in the Gaza Strip, Ibrahim was killed in battle. He was 29 years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Shfaram. He left behind a wife, two children, his mother, eight brothers – Muhammad, Tawfiq, Shafiq, Yahya, Fiq, Saleh, Nazia and Sajiya – and four sisters – Ansaf, Anaam, Saleha and Akhlas.
