Son of Subhiya and Salim. Born on May 24, 1965 in Daliyat al-Karmel. He completed his elementary education at Daliyat al-Karmel High School, in the realist major, and passed the matriculation exams with honors. He was involved in social and community life: he was one of the founders of the village volleyball team, a member of the Sports Promotion Association and the Anti-Drugs Committee, and volunteered to guide youth groups. In addition, he was involved in art, created two sandstone sculptures, and formed relationships with artists, writers, and poets.

Bashir was drafted into the IDF in early November 1983 and served in the infantry and armor. After basic training, he was trained as an infantry soldier and served in several positions. His commanders described him as a professional soldier, dedicated and faithful in his duties.

After his regular service, he began studying social work at the University of Haifa. There he played on the volleyball team and won an honors scholarship from the sports department. During his studies, he wrote a diary dealing with social behavior, participated in a documentary about the lives of Druze students, and integrated into society. In 1992, he graduated with honors with a BA degree and began working at the 'Miftan' school in his village.

Bashir was called up for the reserves. On September 16, 1992, he fell while serving and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Usfiya. He left behind a mother, four brothers and three sisters – Najm, Ka'ad, Canaan, Zohar, Shimsha, Najma and Azhar.

In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: "Bashir was well-liked by his friends, a pleasant and quiet figure. The unit, its commanders and soldiers, share in your deep sorrow." His friends published a book of poems in his memory, which emphasized his spirit of volunteerism and social involvement.
