His life story
Ben Hila and Adiv. Born in the village of Magar in the Galilee on July 26, 1975. On March 21, 1994, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Logistics Corps. During his service, he underwent an officers' course and continued in permanent service, and over the years he advanced to the rank of Major.
Maher married Jehan, and the couple lived in Magar with their four children.
Major Maher was killed in the line of duty on September 6, 2015, and was 40 years old when he died. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Magar.
He left behind a wife, four children, a mother, brothers and sisters.
