His life story

Nada and Muhammad. Born in the Druze village of Rama in the Galilee on January 2, 1963, to a large Druze family, many of whose sons serve in the security forces. He attended elementary school in his village, and as an adult worked odd jobs in agriculture and construction in Rama and Beit Jan.

In November 1980, Nadim was drafted into the IDF. After completing his basic training, where he was trained as a regular soldier, he was assigned to the Minorities Unit. Nadim distinguished himself as a dedicated and disciplined soldier, who carried out every mission assigned to him with resourcefulness and complete willingness. With the outbreak of the Galilee Peace War, he went with his unit to Lebanon, participated in battles and demonstrated courage and composure.

On November 11, 1982, following the explosion of a gas tank in the military government building in the city of Tyre, the building collapsed, burying many of the soldiers who were there, including Nadim.

Nadim was buried in the military section of the cemetery in the village of Rama. He left behind his parents, four brothers and five sisters. His commander noted in a letter of condolence to the family that "Nadim was a soldier who was well-liked by all members of the unit, a good and loyal friend."
