His life story

Son of Hajla and Muhammad. Born in the village of Sajur in the Galilee on July 1, 1947.

He grew up in his village, loved his family, and devotedly cared for his little brother. Saadallah attended elementary and high school in the village of Rama.

When he grew up, he married Jamila, and together they established a loving home in the village, where they raised eight children while carefully educating them. The family used to travel in the countryside and engage in farming together.

Saadallah enlisted in the Border Guard in 1970 and served with great dedication. During his service, he was awarded the Operational Service Medal, the Veteran's Medal, the Yom Kippur War Medal, and the Galilee Peace War Medal.

On the morning of November 11, 1982, during the Galilee Peace War, the military government building in the city of Tyre, which housed many IDF forces, collapsed. The explosion claimed the lives of about one hundred soldiers, including seventy-six members of the Israel Defense Forces, including Saadallah, who was supposed to be on leave but postponed it to attend the graduation ceremony of the officers' course in which his brother was participating.

First Sergeant Saadallah Ghanem fell while performing his duty in Lebanon, in the first Tyre disaster, aged 35 when he fell. He was buried in the cemetery in Sajour and left behind a wife, eight children, parents and brothers.

Saadallah is commemorated at the Druze Martyrs' Memorial in Aspiya, at the Border Guard Martyrs' Memorial at the Iron Junction, and at the Israel Police Martyrs' Memorial at the Police College in Beit Shemesh.
