His life story

Son of Lina and Nabil. Tamer Othman was born on March 26, 2003 in Kafr Yassif. He was the brother of William, Hadil and Mayar.

Tamer grew up in the village of Yasif in the Western Galilee, attended elementary school in the village, and continued on to middle school and high school in Julis. After graduating, he specialized in electronics engineering at the "Atid Galil Ma'rabi" College in Yirka. He grew up in a loving and supportive family, and was educated on the values of love for the country. Tamer stood out for his many talents, determination, and leadership, and was a happy, humble, and quiet young man, with a broad heart and love for people.

On June 11, 2023, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the ICT Corps as a network technician.

With the outbreak of the Hamas surprise attack on October 7, 2023, which began the war, Tamer served in the ICT Corps but did not give up on his dream of becoming a fighter. In March 2024, after eight months of service, he was transferred at his request to the "Kfir" Brigade and began his training as a fighter. On November 6, 2024, he successfully completed the eight months of training at the brigade training base in Masa Qumata, and was assigned as a Negevist fighter in the "Nachshon" Battalion (90).

The next day, Masa Al-Kumatha was wounded in the finger, but refused to postpone the start of his combat service and returned to fighting in the Gaza Strip on November 11, 2024. Tamer was a special fighter, motivated and beloved by his comrades, who stood out for his diligence and spirit of initiative and carried out everything assigned to him with professionalism and responsibility.

On November 26, 2024, during an operation in the northern Gaza Strip in the Beit Jabaliya area, he was killed by terrorists. Corporal Tamer Othman was killed in battle at the age of 21. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kafr Yasif, leaving behind his parents and three brothers. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

His teacher at Atid College, Western Galilee, wrote about him: "Tamer Othman was a true leader – always leading, always giving, and always caring for everyone around him. He served his people and homeland with loyalty and courage until his last day, leaving behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and lofty values. His fall in the war is a heavy loss to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him."

A sticker was produced in his memory with his picture and the phrase "Just a little longer, never give up." Tamer is commemorated at the Kfir Brigade Memorial in Afula, and a memorial page was also set up on Instagram called "remember_tamer_othman."
